Star Plus’ newly launched Diya Aur Baati Hum is one show which has not only won the hearts of many but has even taken over another of the hit series Saathiya aired on the same channel.

The whole TV industry got a big surprise when Diya Baati topped the TRP charts leaving behind the favorite of masses Saath Nibhana Saathiya. Sandhya’s (Deepika Singh) fighting spirits have given Gopi Bahu’s (Giaa Maanek) innocence a run for money. And the success story which Sandhya has written just seems to be a beginning.

Sources have updated that in order to make the current plot more interesting the show makers have roped in Ragini Shah, last seen in Gulaal, to play Bhabho’s (Neelu) mother-in-law. She will be shown far stricter than Bhabho. In fact, viewers will see another side of Bhabho who will be equally scared of her own saas. Confirming her entry in the show, Ragini said, “I am playing the character of a self-centered woman who loves to wear jewellery. Furthermore, everyone in the family has to obey my command. Massa is different and after a long time I am excited to play some character”.

Wow! Saas v/s Saas… looks like Sandhya is to face a big challenge.
