An Indian adaptation of Gideon Raff’s acclaimed Israeli show ‘Hatufim’, ‘P.O.W.’ is a finite series launching on November 7 on Star Plus. During his visit to India, Gideon Raff met director Nikkhil Advani. He says, “I was moved and touched by the detailing given by Nikkhil. He has brought the perfect blend of emotions, drama and patriotism in ‘P.O.W’. It is exciting to see how a concept that was so well received in my country will now come alive for the audiences here.”

Nikkhil says, “The real prisoners of war are the wives, the children and the people left behind. Our story starts at a point when the soldiers have returned home after 17 years of captivity.”

An impressed Kiran Rao says, “With ‘P.O.W.’, it feels like a new era is beginning in Indian fiction television, and I greatly welcome the change. World over we have seen writing in television consistently raise the bar and come to influence even the way we are making films. I can’t wait to see how this show impacts the television landscape in India.”
